Bregenz Wandern

Sunday November 18th
After waking up late and having breakfast, Agnes, Ernst, Jakob and I went to Bregenz to hike up the trail next to the gondola. It was steep and took about an 2 hours to get up, but the whole way was beautiful and we could see down into Bregenz. It was especially mystifying since there was a thing layer of fog covering the streets below. Once we got to the top we had lunch (Cordon Bleu) in the gasthaus and took a breather. We were planning on taking the gondola back down, but it turns out that it is closed in November for maintenance. We were on a schedule, so we hurried back down through short cuts and drove to Lochau to visit Agnes' brother and his family. His oldest son, Thomas, had a birthday so we had cake and visited for a couple hours. Jakob, Dieter, Thomas and I played a bank board game, then Flight Simulator on their computer. Afterwards we drove home, had dinner, and played a couple other games before winding down for bed.
